Who’s ready for party season?! Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting several friends for an early holiday party, complete with cocktails and an indulgent dessert platter inspired by the Kahlúa Cold Brew Martini. Like many of you, the holiday season is my favorite time of year. I feel like I finally make time to spend with friends and family, and I love the festive atmosphere (not to mention the excuse to indulge more than usual). With our Kahlúa Cold Brew Martinis in-hand, we snacked on a dessert platter filled with fruits, nuts and chocolates that paired perfectly with the rich coffee flavors.

Andrew and I love entertaining, despite small-space living, so it never stops us from trying to cram as many people as possible into our small apartment! I set up our dining room with a festive velvet and mercury glass tablescape, and our living room housed my faux fireplace with no shortage of holiday cheer. I reorganized the space with extra chairs so we could fit everyone, and it turned out to be a wonderful day spent with friends!
Prior to the party, I ran out to one of my favorite places on Earth, Target, to grab a new bottle of Kahlúa (of course, you can also find it at stores like Walmart) as well as the other ingredients for this cold brew martini, vodka and cold brew. We all enjoyed the sweetness the Kahlúa adds to the cocktail, bringing out the rich coffee flavors. When we finished the cold brew, I quickly moved on to other Kahlúa-based cocktails. It’s a versatile liquor that pairs with so many flavors!
Kahlúa Cold Brew Martini Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 part Absolut Vodka
- 2 parts Kahlúa
- 3 parts cold brew
Instructions:
- Add 1 part vodka, 2 parts Kahlúa and 3 parts cold brew to a cocktail shaker with ice
- Shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until foamy and strain into a cocktail glass to serve
A party wouldn’t be complete without food to go with our martinis, so I assembled a simple dessert platter with flavors that paired with Kahlúa’s rich coffee flavors, including raspberries, hazelnuts, peanut butter balls, coconut shavings and chocolate covered espresso beans.
Because Kahlúa is a tasty addition to many cocktails, it’s perfect for your holiday parties this year! The cold brew pick-me-up was exactly what we all needed on a Sunday afternoon. How will you be celebrating with friends and family this season?!
Huge thank you to my friends for allowing me to photograph them!
